Going Out WIth Her Girlfriends.

lil B was playing dress up with her dolls. I sat down beside her, picked up a doll and joined in some imaginary fun.

I asked lil B where her doll was going. She replied:

"I'm meeting Nancy Alice at a bar in Las Vegas."

One day, lil B's teacher will call hubby & me in for a meeting.

I will blame hubby.

Wordless Wednesday - The Graduate.

A Reading of Wisdom.

A good friend sent this to me along with her kind words.

For anyone who has ever lost someone...

A reading from the book of Wisdom. Ch. 4: 4-15

The virtuous man, though he die before his time, will find rest.
Length of days is not what makes age honourable,
nor number of years the true measure of life;
understanding, this is man’s grey hairs,
untarnished life, this is ripe old age.
He has sought to please God, so God has loved him;
as he lived among sinners, he has been taken up.

He has been carried off
so that evil may not warp his understanding
or treachery seduce his soul;
for the fascination of evil throws the good into the shade,
and the whirlwind of desire corrupts a simple heart.

Coming to perfection in so short a while,
he achieved long life;
his soul being pleasing to the Lord,
who has taken him quickly
from the wickedness around him.

Yet people look on, uncomprehending;
it does not enter their heads
that grace and mercy await the chosen of the Lord,
and protection, God’s holy ones.

Wordless Wednesday - lil Cook

She Wrote What? ANd He Said What?

Who says your kid can't learn anything useful from tv these days?! lil B just wrote out 'Cat' & 'Hat' thanks to Zee & Moose on Nick Jr. Shoot - Woody Woodpecker never taught me how to spell.

IN addition to this, lil C said his first word today. 'Mama.' My heart literally skipped a beat. I waited for another, but one was all he wanted to share. It was plenty tho.

I'm in no rush for him to chat it up. lil B talks enough for both.

Wordless Wednesday - Proud Baby.

lil B decided mid-way through her dance class today that she was tired and ready to go home. She walked into the mommy sitting area and announced her decision to leave. I felt her head. No temperature. Confused, I started the 20 questions drill. To which lil B replied: 'I'm tired. I don't feel good. I want to go home.'

My gut was telling me this was a test. There was nothing wrong with her. But once she threw out the 'I don't feel good' card - of which the other moms clearly heard, there was no sending her defiant 4 year old a-s-s back. I packed up and headed out.

Once in the car, lil B asked:

"Are we still going for Mexican? I'm hungry."

Serenity Now.

A Christmas Story - 2009.

We took the kids to see Santa. Of course, lil B adores the man who brings presents, and lil C has no clue who the heck this jolly fellow is.

Then lil B tells daddy all the things she told Santa she wants for Christmas.

One Million Questions & Counting...

I completely get that kids ask a lot of questions because they want to learn, but I think lil B is taking that to a whole new level. It seems as if everything that comes out of her mouth is in the form of a question...no matter how obvious the answer.

"Is this grape juice? Are you washing the dishes? Is it time to go yet? What time is it? (Like time matters to her yet...) What are you watching on tv? Are there clothes in the washing machine? Can lil C play in my room? Can you take lil C out of my room?"

Will it ever end?!?!?
