Wordless Wednesday - Iron Bowl/ROLL TIDE!!!

RP @ 'Bye Bye Baby...I'm gonna miss you so...'

Like a ReTweet but a RePost. I was reading some of my old blog posts, and this one made my heart skip a beat.

'Bye Bye Baby...I'm gonna miss you so...'

I put away little B's high chair today. She now insists on sitting at the table in her booster seat. Of course she selected the chair that was her daddy's throne. However, he relinquished the rights to his precious little - food throwing - angel.

I have mixed feelings about stowing away this enormous non-space saving piece of furniture. It is an obvious sign that my baby is quickly growing out of her baby'ness. A stage that I thought was suppose to feel like an eternity.

But along with the sadness, I equally and excitedly embrace the idea that someday this chair will return to my kitchen. It is not a final farewell.

I just hope when I do bid adieu to all of the baby apparatus that currently clutters my home, it will be with sentiments of accomplishment, fondness, and love for times cherished.

Lord knows...I am not at that point yet.

Shouting From My Rooftop

I have to give a shout out to Blue Momma for her awesome job on my blog layout! Not only was she tired of looking at my boring a-s-s layout, she was also sick of my moaning & whining about it. And thanks to my persistent irritation, I now have this fabulosity.

Last month she made lil B's phenomenal birthday cake, and this month she revamped my layout. I have big plans for December I tell ya...

XOXO Blue Momma - You rock! But I know you knew this already.

True friends are ones that tell you your shit stinks, and then hand you a can of air freshener.

Wordless Wednesday - 'I Said It's Great to Be...'

Commited With Silly Bands.

Neighbor boy gave lil B 2 silly bands. She placed them on her ankle. They have not left her ankle in a week.

Daddy told her she will not be going on any dates until she is at least 16. And even then, he will be going with her. He also likes to remind lil B to tell her boyfriend(s) he owns guns.

Lucky for neighbor boy, his daddy is a cop. He has a gun too.

Dating in the south is a scary thing.

This is my favorite dating movie/video clip.

****CAUTION - There is LOTS OF CURSING!***

Make-Up Required.

lil B and I headed to Target last night to pick up a few items. lil B excitedly said she would dress herself. (She has become Miss independent lately and prefers to dress herself. However, she has not mastered the finer points of style...like matching.) I noticed her ill attempt to coordinate, but figured it was one battle I did not want to fight this particular night. Besides, it was just Target.

Once in Target, I realized lil B's shirt was not only on inside out, but it was also backwards. Add this to the fact that her shirt did not match her pants...we were quite a sight.

Heading to check out, we ran into my tri-inke. Tita K noticed lil B's eyes looked purple. I mentioned lil B had not been feeling well, and that was probably the culprit. But as I looked closer, I noticed how purple her eyes did look. I asked her if she put on make-up before we left. Yes, indeed she had.

In the car, lil B informed me one should not leave the house without make-up. Not sure where that came from, but I think we have other things to worry about than makeup...

...like making sure our shirts are not on inside out.

Wordless Wednesday - Is This Cheating?

All Hail Mary & Her Lambs.

lil B is learning the Hail Mary in school. This evening we practiced reciting the prayer. It went a little something like this:

lil B: 'Hail Mary, full of grace, her fleece was white as snow.'

I bet Mother Mary had a good laugh.

It's The Most Wonderful Time...

The local radio station has begun playing Christmas songs. lil B and I spent most of the day listening, singing and dancing...lil B can not resist her inherent need to dance. ;)

I could hear sheer excitement in her voice. She completely gets Christmas this year. The birth of our Savior and good ole St. Nick.

And what makes the holiday season even better? Egg-nog (with Southern Comfort of course) has returned to store shelves.

Aww yeah. Life is good.

It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer"
It's the most wonderful time of the year
It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap- happiest season of all

Why #867

Why is it when we have something to do lil B just wants to stay home?. And when we are having a nice quiet day at home, she is bored and wants to go somewhere?.

Serenity now.

Wordless Wednesday - My First

No words...whew...hard for a mama who feels like she is always talking. This might be nice.

Why #745

WHy is it when I ask lil B to grab me some toilet paper, she actually brings me a ply and not a new roll. However, if she drops a dab of toothpaste on the sink counter - she uses half a roll to wipe it up.
